So many times, we tend to question God, His presence, His LOVE, completely forgetting that His Word says,
“..NOTHING Can Separate Us from God’s Love!…” ~ Romans 8:38
You see, experiencing God’s love in my life did not come easy, it took a point of ultimate surrender and brokenness to break away from the prison that I placed myself in, until I finally surrendered and freely received His love.
I believed I had to work for His love, I believed I had to be perfect – since God had all these high expectations of me, right? Or, so I thought. I remember thinking – I sin, I am far from holy, as “perfect” as I tried to be I always end up disappointing Him. I would observe people around me and say to myself, “He will never love me the way He loves them, they’re Godly and almost perfect.”
I was terribly wrong!
I realized I made God responsible for the way I felt unloved by Him.
How can I see His love when I was responsible for building a wall between us? Walls of anger, bitterness, unforgiveness, pain, shame.
Yet it is in those dispirited moments of our brokenness, where He strips us layer after layer and We find ourselves far from perfect, where we see Jesus at The Cross declaring You are Worth It!
You are So Loved!
